Artist : Tara Thapa

Senior singer Tara Thapa was in media attention when the song ‘Katar katar ma’ was just released in the early 2030s BS. The connoisseur of Nepali folk music is also an excellent TT (Table Tennis) player of her time and had won a motif of ‘Best Player’. Now she is grave in listening bhajans and performing Yogas.
Born in India, Ranchi in 1956, Jan 27th, she is now living in Balaju, Kathmandu with her husband and two sons. She got formal music training from Padma Kanya Campus and started music career from 2028BS.
Becuase of her contribution to music field of Nepal, she has been awarded by prestigious awards like Chinnalata Geet Puraskar (2057), Arun Smriti Puraskar (2062), Narayan Gopal Yuwa Puraskar (2050) and more.
